“TME® allows small- and mid-sized semiconductor fabrication plants to seamlessly run their operation without implementing five or six different solutions. This enables them to save a significant amount of money and implementation time,” says Gamal Balady, president and CEO, MASS Group.
The TME® suite is comprised of four main components: Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), inventory control and Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Quality Control (QC/SPC). On top of all that, TME® is built to deliver and comply with semi.org SEMI E10 Specification for the Measurement of Equipment Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) and Utilization.
“When you put all these pieces together, you have everything from an operating and process execution to raw material and finished goods with real time quality management to run your fabrication plant,” says Balady.
The benefits of TME® suite for semiconductor and MEMS fabrication plants are multifaceted. They include (but are not limited to) complete forward and reverse traceability and genealogy from cradle to grave, integrated lot/batch inventory management, and production management for on-time product delivery. Managers, process engineers and analysts can have real-time visibility into all the operations through an intuitive dashboard. This enables them to act on any issue at the right time. TME® also allows for real-time statistical process control (SPC). This reduces rework, scrap, waste, and defects and improves product quality.
TME® has been designed from the ground up to be 100 percent cloud-based whether hosted by MASS Group or deployed on-premises within the client’s network. Users access the system with a modern web browser; no software is installed on client machines. As such, aerospace & defense plants that require compliance with CMMC and NIST 800-171 can implement TME® on their private cloud or onpremise and still have the advantages of a cloud-based system. Also, MASS Group’s clients do not need to allocate a large portion of their annual budget to utilize the solution. They can choose the level of system that they need and pay an annual subscription based on the number of users licensed for that system. System implementation support and integration development (if needed) are competitively priced.
Numerous semiconductor manufacturers today utilize TME® for enhanced efficiency and cost savings. They typically witness a five percent increase in yield and a seven percent reduction in scrap. For instance, the largest semiconductor equipment manufacturer in the world, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductors, has implemented the TME® suite of products to process up to 400,000 work orders a year in their metrology lab and manage all the incoming orders and the data that the metrology lab produces. This has enabled the client to reduce queue time, eliminate spreadsheet-based reporting, and deliver equipment to customers faster than ever before.
TME® is currently a one-of-a-kind solution in the industry that levels the playing field for small and mid-sized semiconductor fabrication plants by enabling them to be more efficient at a lower cost of ownership. MASS Group’s commitment to premium service and support throughout their customers’ digital transformation has resulted in an industry high 99.6% customer retention rate.
